Our Crew

West Michigan Driving Academy is owned and operated by:

Bob Walters, a life-long resident of Muskegon County.

“Hi, I am Bob Walters. I have been a high school math teacher at Reeths-Puffer for 19 years and have taught drivers training for the past 7 years. When the VanDyke’s told me they were retiring, I jumped at the chance to take over ownership of West Michigan Driving Academy. I am excited to add to what this company has offered students the past 17 years. I, like many of my co-workers, love to teach and work with the kids in our community! Teaching kids and working with other instructors is my passion. I am a life-long learner and always look for ways to improve and sharpen my skills. These are attributes I try to pass on to my students and I surround myself with like-minded professionals. It is my goal to continue the strong legacy of teaching young adults how to become a safe and responsible driver and a caring citizen. I will also strive to keep improving our driving school to continue to give the kids of our community the best possible driving education and experience that they can have. ”
